Im sharing with you guys 3 of my favorite Mexican salsas.
The ingredients that you are going to use to make these amazing Mexican salsas are, tomatoes, tomatillos, jalapeñros peppers ,maybe a new chile for you would be the chile de arbol and chilaca.
CHILE DE ARBOL
HOW HOT IS IT?
they said is 6 times hotter then average jalapeño pepper.
WHAT CAN I SUBSTITUTE FOR ?
You can use guajillo pepper (spices aile) this will be the easiest substitute along with ground cayenne powder.
TOMATILLOS AND JALAPEÑOS RECIPE.
This Recipe is the easiest 3 ingredients, oil, tomatillos and jalapeños here is the recipe for you ready to print.
CAN I USE TOMATOES INSTEAD OF TOMATILLOS?
Yes, you can make this recipe with tomatoes instead of tomatillos following the same instructions, it is very tasty too.
TOMATILLO, OIL AND JALAPEÑO PEPPER
- 10 tomatillos with out the husk
- 2 jalapeños pepper you could add more if you want it spicy
- 3/4-1 tsp salt add more or less depend on your taste
In a pan add the oil and the rest of your ingredients to cook,
leave there for like 10 minutes in a low heat.
Mix once in a while so you can make sure that all the tomatillos are getting roasted.
Cover the pan.
Once all the tomatillos got like a dark green and the jalapeños too they are ready to be blended.
Add all to a blender including the liquid in the pan and salt.
RECIPE WITH CHILACA,POBLANO AND TOMATOES.
POBLANO, CHILACA AND TOMATO SALSA
- 1 tsp salt more or less
- 2 jalapeños peppers you can add more if you want it more spicy
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 poblano pepper
- 1 anaheim pepper (chilaca)
In a big pan add the oil following with the rest of the ingredients making sure that the poblano and chilaca are touching the pan.
Make sure that the pan that you are using has a lid because the oil will be like jumping and you can get burn.
You will roast them for like 8 to 10 minutes in low temperature turning the peppers to roast on all sides. Same with the tomatoes.
Once all the peppers are a little burn they are ready to blend.
You won't blended completely, you want little chunks of the peppers and tomatoes in the salsa.
taste it to see if it needs more salt.
TOMATILLOS AND CHILE DE ARBOL SALSA.
COULD I USE ANOTHER CHILE INSTEAD CHILE DE ARBOL?
You could use chile Guajillo if you would like but the flavor will be different, You could add more or less chile depends of the spicy that you like.
IS THIS SALSA REALLY SPICY?
Not at all I promise, but is full of flavor. So if you like spicy add more chile de arbol because this salsa with 3 peppers it is not spicy at all.
TOMATILLO AND CHILE DE ARBOL SALSA
- 7 tomatillos remove the husk
- 3 chile de arbol you can use more if you want it to be more spicy
- 3/4-1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup of water
In a pan you are going to roast the chile de arbol with out water.
Once they have a darker color or almost black add the tomatillos and the water.
Don't toast them to much or the flavor will change it will become bitter.
and cook them until the tomatillos have a darker green.
Add all the ingredients in the blender together with the salt and blend well.
