SOUR CREAM RICE

sour cream rice, I can’t tell you enough of the deliciousness of this beauty and yes millions of time I have tell you that it is my favorite Mexican rice of all and I know it can be yours too.

CAN WE USE YOGURT INSTEAD OF SOURCREAM?

Yes you can but you need to know that the flavor will be different, lets be real the sour cream has a unique flavor, but go head it will give the creamy texture that we are looking for.

GOOD TO KNOW

For every cup of rice you need 2 cups of water.

CAN I SUBSTITUTE THE CHICKEN BOUILLON?

Yes you can, or just don’t use it and instead add salt and pepper, but I have to say that if you want a real flavor you need the chicken bouillon.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup rice
  • 2 tbsp chicken bouillon
  • 1 cup `sour cream
  • 1 can of corn no liquid
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions

  1. add some oil or butter to a small pan, add the rice and cook it/mix it for 2-3 minutes.

    Add the corn, water and chicken bouillon. mix it, once it comes to a boil reduce your heat to the lowest ,and put the lid on and let it cook for about 13-15 minutes.

    Once is cooked add the sour cream and mix it up very well.

    Enjoy.

    I was a little unsure about adding sour cream to rice, but WOW this is delicious! I had to put it in the fridge so that I would stop eating it from the pan!
