RECETA EN ESPAÑOL AQUI Mexican churros 3 ingredients ,are you ready for this recipe? one of the things that I like about this recipe is that you only need 3 ingredients, yes only 3 the basic ones, flour, milk and water ingredients that you already have at home.
This Mexican Churros are perfect for any ocassion. The perfect treat, gift to a neighbor or friends.
HOW LONG CAN THEY KEEP CRUNCHY?
Honestly the sooner the better, something important to keep in mind is that the long you take to eat them the less crunchy they will be.
TIPS TO HAVE THEM TASTE BETTER THE LONGER
- once you get them out of the oil, let them dry or cool on a napkin for about 3 minutes before you pass them through the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- once they are cover with the mixture cinnamon sugar, let them cool completely.
- once they are totally cool, put them in a container with a lead.and keep them like that.
WHAT TIP TO USE TO MAKE THE CHURROS?
The bigger one for us is the better one, specially if you want to fill them in. but any start tip sizes will make the job for you. you just have to be carefull when frying them that you don’t burn them the big one the more time will need to cook inside,
in the outside may look like is already cool but not may be in the inside.
OIL TEMPERATURE
The best or most important thing is the oil temperature, I don’t use a thermometer for it.
but this is what I do, put the pan on the stove ad the oil, add enough oil that it will cover completely the churro, then turn it on in low medium and let it get hot slowly around 5 minutes, then the oil is ready to cook the delicious churros.
MEXICAN CHURROS
Ingredients
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- oil
Instructions
-
in a saucepan add the water together with the milk and a pinch of salt, bring to a boil.
add my 2 cups of all-purpose flour slowly and mix it with a wooden spoon.
when a dough has already formed then we turn off the stove and continue mixing it for 1 minute.
Let it rest for 5 to 8 minutes then knead lightly, and now the dough is ready to put it in the pastry bag with the tip of your election, and make churros.
You can add the churros directly from the pastry bag to the oil or you could make the churros first and putting them in your counter top then you fry them. You can add a little but of oil so they don't stick to it. I never had this problems but just in case it happens to you.
good luck.
